So, we're going to look at an apartment in Dearborn on Tuesday. It's owned by the same management company as our current apartment, so we could completely transfer over the lease, including the deposit. The apartment is gorgeous, and the kitchen is a decent size, so I won't get claustrophobic when someone is cooking at the same time as me. I love this apartment, but the current kitchen is one of those tiny eurokitchen, which just isn't big enough for us.
Dearborn is cool. This place would be walking distance from the University of Michigan, which means there'd be stuff. And since it's a fairly prestigious school and the dearborn campus is mostly a commuter campus, you get less of that obnoxious white-boy-in-backwards-baseball-cap phenomenon.
Dearborn is also predominantly arabic. Since Detroit has always been too segregated for my tastes, this is a big selling point. That makes it a good bit more diverse than a lot of the areas. Of course, there's the added perk of things like great middle eastern restaurants.
Rob's also got a few job leads. He's done some pre interviews and done well at them, so now it's just a case of getting the follow up. Well, I guess "everything's coming up milhouse" or something like that.
So I'm thinking a lot about the art therapy thing again. Did I mention that I did some more research? There's a lot more job possibilities than I realized! Apparently, it's everything from rehab clinics to schools. I wouldn't mind working as a school therapist, using art to help kids through their problems. I think that's something I could get into. I'm still slightly indecisive but I'm using it to my advantage this time. Sort of just exploring and juggling and letting things kind of take their course. But this option definitely warrants analysis.
Anyhow, so do you like my writing? Boost my vanity and clix me
Come on, you know you want to...
And if you're really impressed with me, you'll sign my guestbook. I realized that my guestbook gets signed an average of once every three months, but according to the stats, about forty people look at this site a week. So come on, you mystery readers, scribble stuff! Send weird philosophical inferences. Hell, send me a message in some secret code! But let me know who you are.
The curiosity is killing me.
Literally.
aaahhh!! choke choke! bleeagh!
See? You don't want that to be my fate, do you?
Now I'm going to fourth coast for more coffee. Cause...well..I obviously need it. Heh.
