Online diaries have been a long standing addiction of mine. I started off keeping this one back in 1999. In late 2001, I discovered those diary service thingamajigs. I started keeping this one less often, in lieu of the convenience factor. However, with the sociability element, I found that oddly enough I had less anonymity than with this diary, which all my friends and family know about. As the lines between diary and message board blurred, the catharsis faded, and I wound up inevitably deleting a diary and starting somewhere new. I believe I have become full circle, however, and am going to try to start keeping this one again. I have changed a lot over the years, done and said and thought many things I am not proud of. But I like to think I've had some interesting perspectives along the way, so in my newfound search for honesty and humility I'm putting this back up. Who knows, maybe I'll actually update it sometimes, too.
