Well, it would seem that we're going to move to Detroit.
This weekend was dismal. I mean, we had some good times and enjoyed our time together but there was a lot that gave us reservations.
Well, there was the rat bastard incident. We also didn't get to hook up with our other friends. Robert was supposed to hang out with us on Friday but never called me. Ted sent me an email saying that he had plans. Juan called me, and we talked for a bit, but he was broke and couldn't meet us for coffee.
We went to look at the sublet but it was awful. It was way out in BFE, and the building was in really bad shape. The apartment wasn't bad, but it was *really* small and wasn't all that great, either. So that's a no go.
Chicago doesn't seem like too much of an option right now. It would be such an expensive move. And the economy is just so incredibly bad there. At least if we moved to Detroit, we could do it for cheap. We have a lot of resources there.
I suppose I could always go to Wayne State. I was getting excited about Roosevelt, but oh well. This weekend reminded me of why we left. And at least in Detroit, there's some cool bars and restaurants that we can go to.
If Rob doesn't get a really Chicago lead within the next week, we're going to check out apartments in Detroit.
I guess I don't mind. It would be an easier move to make, because I'd be in state so I could go to state schools and have the resident tuition. Besides, I've moved to Chicago and away again so many times, that I wouldn't mind staying away for a bit. And I'd like the chance to explore Detroit for awhile.
Now if we can just get ourselves jobs and an apartment...
